SaintsOT Rules
Welcome to SaintsOT! These rules exist to keep the server fair, safe, and fun for everyone. By playing here, you agree to follow them. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them.
1. Character Names
a) No offensive, hateful, sexual, or racist names, or names referencing real-world tragedies or hate groups.
b) No names impersonating staff, other players, or public figures (e.g. "GM Saint", "Admin").
c) No names that are just keyboard mashing, single letters, or clearly not a character name (e.g. "asdasd", "xxx").
d) Staff may rename a character that violates this policy without warning.
2. Botting & Automation
a) Botting, scripting, and automation tools are allowed on SaintsOT. Use whatever client, hotkey, or macro setup helps you play.
b) Multiple accounts and multi-boxing are also allowed. You're welcome to run as many accounts as you like, including simultaneously.
c) Every account you run, bot or not, is fully responsible for following every other rule on this page. "My bot did it" is not a defense.
d) Bots may not be used to harass other players, block or grief houses/hunting spots on purpose, spam chat, or interact with other players' property without permission.
3. Cheating & Exploits
Botting is allowed, but cheating is not. This includes:
a) Exploiting bugs or engine errors for personal gain (item duplication, teleport exploits, unintended damage/experience gains, etc.). If you find a bug, report it to staff instead of using it.
b) Modifying the game client, using packet editors, or any tool that alters what the server actually sees (as opposed to automating legitimate client actions).
c) Attempting to access another player's account without permission ("hacking"), or distributing tools designed to do so.
d) DDoS, IP grabbing, or any attempt to disrupt other players' or the server's connection.
4. Trading & Real Money
a) Points/coins may only be purchased through the official SaintsOT store. Buying or selling gold, items, characters, or accounts for real money or through any third-party site is not allowed.
b) Account sharing and account trading are not allowed. You are responsible for your own account's security and activity.
c) Scamming other players in trades is bannable. Screenshot your trades if you're not sure.
5. PvP
SaintsOT runs an optional-PvP world: combat between players only happens when both sides opt in through the game's normal PvP mechanics. Using PvP mechanics specifically to grief, block, or harass another player rather than to actually fight is not allowed.
6. Chat & Community
a) No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or targeted insults, in-game or on our Discord.
b) No spamming public channels, excessive caps, or advertising other servers.
c) Keep NSFW content, real-world politics, and religious debates out of public channels.
d) Staff may mute or restrict chat access for repeated violations.
7. Staff & Reports
a) Impersonating a staff member, or claiming to speak for the SaintsOT team, is a serious offense.
b) Threatening, harassing, or attempting to bribe staff over moderation decisions is not allowed.
c) Submitting false reports or intentionally misleading staff during an investigation will be treated the same as the rule you falsely reported.
d) Staff decisions can be appealed through our Discord — if you think a punishment was a mistake, ask, don't argue in public channels.
Enforcement
Punishments range from warnings and temporary mutes to temporary or permanent account bans, depending on the severity of the violation and the player's history. Severe cases (real hacking, scamming, exploiting bugs for major gain) can result in an immediate permanent ban and loss of the affected items/characters without compensation. Staff have final say on all rule interpretations and punishments.
These rules may be updated at any time. Major changes will be announced on our Discord and the website's news page.
