One download, no extra steps - the client comes pre-configured for SaintsOT.
SaintsOT Client Setup
Extract the downloaded file to a folder on your Desktop.
Open the folder and run otclient.exe.
Create an account on saintsot.com.
Create a character on the website.
Log in using the email and password you created on saintsot.com.
Then press Login.
